Today felt pretty boring, but I got alot done. It doesn't make sense, or does it? Here's what I did today.
Got up and ate breakfast, but I realized after I had my toast in the toaster that I had no butter so I had toast with peanut butter instead. I didn't have my normal glass of OJ, because I had heartburn again, ugh. I drank milk instead. I read my e-mail and looked for a job on the job boards. Then, I wrapped up the things I needed to ship today from yesterday's ebay sales. Next, I put highlights in my hair, and while I was waiting for it to be done I loaded the dishwasher. Once I rinsed my hair, I took a bath with my new bath fizz that I got from my birthday.
Once I was dressed, I took the garbage out of the bathroom and kitchen; both of them were over full. I ate my lunch (leftovers- finally the last serving from a few days ago). Then, I washed the dining room floor. After that, I went to the post office and the grocery store. Once I got home I checked my e-mail again and talked to a friend that called. I started watching the Food Network which caused me to get inspired. I decided to bake my lemon cookies and then went on to make jellybean pacifiers. I then sat down and started to knit another teddy bear.
So I really did do alot today, it was all just very boring stuff.

My little sister Kirstie is getting so grownup. She turned 17 on Friday, and I remember the day that she was born. I was at school, and when I got home there was noone home and I had forgotten my key. I went to my friend Courtney's and called my grandma and she told me that Kirstin had been born. I was sixteen. Even though we are so far apart in age she's so much fun to hang out with. It's nice that we really never had that awkward sister stuff were we hated eachother like Melanie and I did. It's amazing to me that she has known Jerry her whole life. Since she's been alive he's always been around. I even have pictures of him holding her when she was a baby. I think that's really cool. They are as much siblings as she and I are, and you can tell because they tease eachother relentlessly.Monday, October 6, 2008
Old Friends
On Friday night I had dinner with my sister and some friends of ours from the neighborhood we grew up in. I have not laughed so much for a real long time. We had drinks and ate good food. We told stories of what we have been up to, and how our lives have changed, but then the conversation turned to bodily functions like it always does when girls get together.
The funniest thing came out of these conversations. Prepare yourself; how can you tell the difference between a cat fart and a dog fart? Well, a cat fart smells like fish. So obvious, I don’t know why I didn’t think of it before. It’s so much fun spending time with friends that have known me so long that we can talk about anything and everything. I feel a little regret because I know that we only get together once a year with everyone’s busy schedule and I won’t see these special girls for another year. But, I am so happy that we make the time to do it.
One last thing for this Monday Night, Go VIKINGS!
